Wow, I am certainly glad it's the weekend again as it's been such a stressful week (see previous earthquake post). I'm feeling on edge, nervous, stressed, anxious and exhausted all at the same time. Luckily the quake hasn't physically done a lot of damage to us but mentally it's taking its toll. We are still experiencing aftershocks, although a lot fewer than the past few days and I'm not sleeping very well.
Baby is fine. I love the doppler and even Skyped Mum the other night so she could see how it works and hear the heart beat too which was super cool. The heartbeat has been up around 152bpm this week.
Movements come through the doppler very clearly and as of Saturday when the earthquake hit I have been feeling movement which is SUPER exciting! At the moment it feels like little pokes and bubbles popping within my pelvic area. I can't wait for them to get stronger so Hamish can feel them too, I feel kind of bad he doesn't get to experience it like I do.
Still feeling pretty good. Skin is great, pelvic pain hasn't been too bad this past week though I haven't heard from the hospital's physios yet. Tired but putting that down to lack of sleep/being awoken multiple times in the night by earthquakes, I suppose I should get used to waking up several times a night lol.
My boss wants to chat to me next week about when I'm leaving work etc. Hamish and I have had a chat about it and have decided on January 14th as a tentative last day, this is four weeks before our due date...I'm not sure whether this is enough time or how I'll be coping at that stage but I guess it can be reevaluated later if need be.
Anatomy scan next Friday so watch this space for the cutest pictures you've ever seen :)
Sorry about the lack of smile, this was the best looking belly pic but Hamish took it before I was saying cheese lol Err, also that is the top of my jeans, not my bellybutton poking out lol
