20 Weeks

HALF WAY!  Wow, time flies huh!  I am feeling great!  Definitely got a bit of a belly now and finding that normal clothes are too tight, but maternity clothes are still too big lol  It's getting more difficult to pick stuff up off the floor, reach up to top shelves and even having to sleep on my side now as belly is uncomfortable in many positions.

I have been sneezing a lot this week and my nose has been really dry, giving me a headache when I breathe through it lol.  Bleeding gums when brushing teeth - check, lovely clear skin - check, hair growing super fast - check!  Getting my haircut next week, I think it's about a week earlier than I'd normally get it done.

From now on, since baby's stretched out straight, measurements are taken from head to toe instead of head to bum and this week measures approximately 22cm, about the size of a rock melon.

Baby McB has been poking and prodding a LOT this week which is really cool.  However Hamish hasn't managed to feel him again yet, even though they feel like big pokes to me, they're still rarely felt from the outside and it's down to good timing!

We've narrowed down our name list and have pretty much decided on a name that we both like, but NOT TELLING!

We have just booked our car capsule and base rental through Plunket.  It is very reasonably priced at $50 for 7 months (plus $15 for a base because we decided we wanted one that would just clip in and out) plus a $40 bond that you get back when you return it.

We've picked out a carseat this week too, opting for the Radian XTSL, pretty much the best you can buy here and with a price tag to match - $500!.  It is able to be used rear facing from newborn to 20kg then forward facing up to 40kg so will last all the way through.  Can view it here.
