26 Weeks

I didn't get to do an update yesterday as worked a busy split shift at work which ended with us needing to pin a badly broken cat's leg in the evening, then raced home, got changed and went out for dinner and live improv comedy.  My legs felt like lead by the time I got to bed and had a night of fighting off calf cramp every time I moved.

I'm down to four days a week at work now, taking Wednesdays as annual leave and only have six weeks of work left (five if you count my trip to Auckland next month), time is still flying!  The further along I get, the more I think I made the right decision about leaving before Christmas as am finding new challenges every week.

Baby is taking up more space in my tum now and I've been feeling a lot more rolling and stretching along with the kicks, even had an extra lump out the side one evening while he was having a good stretch!  He has been getting the hiccups heaps too!

His eyes are now opening and he's learning to blink.  It seems weird knowing how big he's getting in there (36ish cm long with 5cm long feet and weighing around 800g) and even though I feel him moving several times a day, it doesn't seem like a mini human that's making all the bumps happen as I can't feel his 'shape'.

Bought a few bits and bobs of clothing off TradeMe and they've all arrived so it's nice having clothes that are comfortable.  Also just found out that the cot we're getting from Hamish's aunt and uncle will most probably be available next week as they're buying their wee girl a bed, so really looking forward to setting that up :)

Moving into the third trimester next week!

Have Mike staying with us this weekend and he's taken a few fun snaps for us so thought I'd upload them all :)
