In three months we will have a two year old, how crazy is that! Time flies when you're having fun :)
The rate at which Joseph is growing and learning is incredible. He's learning new words all the time and is a right parrot and show-off!
He had his first night with the side off the cot last night after trialling it for two weeks at nap times. He did super well, fell out twice before 10pm but put himself back to bed and slept all the way through. Hoping this means we won't have to buy a second cot :)
I have started working one day a week, vet nursing again and Joseph has started at daycare (1.5 days a week). He is LOVING it, though hates being dropped off. He loves playing outside in the sandpit and climbing all the outdoor equipment, he is also apparently a bit of a clown and show-off!
Back in August I took Joseph to see a specialist after 9+ months of disgusting, abnormal/diarrhoea stools. He had some skin prick allergy testing done which showed a moderate reaction to egg and cat fur as well as a slight reaction to peanuts and dust mites. The specialist was more concerned of a gluten sensitivity. Blood tests revealed he does indeed have an intolerance to gluten with an IgG of 68 (normal is less than 10). So he has been on a totally gluten-free diet since as well as some medication to help with reflux which the doctor thought could also be a problem. We noticed a huge difference within four days in both his mood and his bowel motions but then since starting daycare he has come down with illness after illness and seems to have regressed a bit. We have a follow-up appointment on the 5th of December where I hope we will do a repeat blood test to see what sort of a difference the diet has made. I will have to talk about weaning off the medication as I have tried but it causes him to have sick burps (which he didn't have before going on the meds), I'm thinking the new diet should well and truly have any reflux issues under control by now.
Joseph's favourite things at the moment are (in no particular order): Mickey Mouse, Charley Bear, Peppa Pig, apples, bananas, beans (baked beans/chili beans), dancing, music, drawing, saying please over and over without giving a clue what he wants, Mummy, Daddy, cheese.
